SLC Review (Sarah Lawrence's oldest, freshest publication) invites you to FRIENDS READING FRIENDS, the annual event where some of SLC's writers—fiction, poetry, non-fiction—work is read not by the writer, but by a friend. Also on view during this event: "For a Brief Time Only..." is an exhibition curated by ASDF Makes, an experimental curatorial collective with a focus on online, free, and public projects. The exhibition is purchasable from any major drug-store photo developer near you and features such artists as Miranda Lichtenstein, Lucky Dragons, and Penelope Umbrico. For more information, go to http://www.asdfmakes.com/nearyou/index.html.

ASDF makes

In the very near future, we will be hosting a show by the experimental curatorial collective ASDF called "For A Brief Time Only..."
but for now, check out an opportunity to be a part of their newest project
(and make $$$$$ and cred in the process)
ASDF is offering One Hundred $1 Grants. All selected projects will be available in a downloadable exhibition in February 2009. Anyone is eligible. There are no restrictions on proposed projects. All forms of creative activity are encouraged. Money can be used for cost of production or for monetary compensation.
Do it to it, kids.
